Cher for the American Music Awards 2013
We petition to Warner Bros. Records and ABC Network/Dick Clark Productions, Inc. to have the legendary "Goddess of Pop," Cher perform at the 41st American Music Awards on November 24, 2013. While Cher has a new single out and an album coming on September 24, fans have been disappointed by the seemingly poor promotion the record company is executing. To name only a few reasons, a long awaited duet with Lady Gaga called "The Greatest Thing" did not make the final cut, the release of Ray Kay's Director's Cut of the music video for "Woman's World" was denied, and, for unknown reasons, they did not manage to have Cher be part of the MTV Video Music Awards on August 25, 2013 -- which would have been elementary to promote her comeback among her target Top 40 audience. With this petition, we want to make clear that general public is still interested in Cher and demand proper promotion for her upcoming 26th studio album, "Closer to the Truth." We want Cher to perform either her current single, "Woman's World," or another new song at the 41st American Music Awards on November 24, 2013 -- alternatively there are the MTV Europe Music Awards on November 10, 2013.
