How many more lives is it gonna take for carnival to get banned? My cousin was killed years ago and still carnival goes on it needs to be banned now a young lady has lost her life in front of her three-year-old child. Shouldn’t this be enough? shouldn’t this be the end of it?

To Whom It May Concern,
It is with profound sorrow that we gather our thoughts to honor the life of our dear friend, Cher Maximen, who tragically lost her life at Notting Hill Carnival 2024. Her sudden departure has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Cher Maximen was more than a friend; she was a beacon of joy, a loving soul who touched the lives of everyone around her with her kindness, warmth, and unwavering spirit. Her presence lit up the lives of her friends, family, and community, and her loss is felt deeply by all.
As we mourn her passing, we also extend our heartfelt prayers for her daughter, who now faces life without the guiding hand of her beloved mother. We pray that the Lord may surround her with love and light, providing her with the strength, comfort, and protection she needs during this incredibly difficult time.
May Cher Maximen rest in peace, knowing that her memory will forever live on in our hearts. May the Lord embrace her soul in eternal peace, and may He guide and protect her daughter, filling her life with love, light, and the strength to carry on her mother's legacy.

As a friend of Cher I’m heartbroken and at a lost. Stabbings have become the new normality and it’s terrifying. Family and friends should be able to leave and come back home in one piece after a Carnival the GOVERNMENT HOLD and allow to happen. To many lives are lost every year at this event in particular, the government need to ban the carnival reflect and put in correct measures and restrictions and focus on the national rise in knife crime across the UK to many children mothers and fathers nieces nephews and loved ones have been lost this year alone When will proper protection measures be put in place? Cher was a loving amazing outgoing caring and thoughtful mother, daughter, granddaughter, cousin, sister & friend to many. To each person Cher has come into contact with and engaged with has left a lifetime of memories smiles and of course now broken hearts. All we have is videos memories and her belongings. While Cher’s Precious Little girl is motherless her whole world is shattered and changed within a blink of an eye. We as a community and being her fellow loved ones friends and family need to stand together, remain to pray for strength and peace for the family. For the government you need to finally do something about these unsafe events you condone and allow to happen with no cares in the world.

More needs to be done to safely allow people to attend community events. Monsters who carry knives have now place at these events or in society. There needs to be stricter rules for the whole governance of the carnival for safety all round.

I think thr law in whole needs to change in every aspect especially in situations like this! Band all big events like the carnival until this law changes! God bless Cher',s little beautiful girl & her family & friends, may they all get justice for Cher. R.I.P beautiful angel.
