Please cancel your appearance at Sea World. They are responsible for the captive trade of dolphns and whales globally and responsible for the slaughter of them at the cove in Taiji Japan. They care only about the almighty dollar. Petitions are out for other musicians to cancel as well. Do what is right. Because life in a bucket isn't living.

A gig is for one night. After a show you get to go home to your real families. Captive Orca perform their shows and are then shut away in their tiny tanks for a lifetime. Away from their true home and families, wild and free in the sea. Please watch this critical documentary Cheap Trick. Dear Cheap Trick: Would you please reconsider performing at Sea World? The only reason SW has asked you and a few others to perform is because of the lost revenue they suffered this year due to public awareness thanks to the documentary BlackFish. Please, watch the documentary and then make your decision. Barenaked Ladies have declined the invitation after becoming aware of the sheer cruelty to these animals from plucking them out of the waters to the torturous conditions they endure the rest of their shortened lives. We're not just a bunch of animal fanatics, this is a matter of life-long inhumane treatment of living, breathing, thinking, emotional beings. Surely you will have other concerts to entertain us with.
