I don't want my school tax dollars to go towards a muniicpal building that will be rented out to the public. I live a couple blocks away and am concerned with safety and traffic issues in my neighborhood as well. I do want them to be up front with all costs.

Everyone is entitled to see how the numbers were calculated since we are being asked to foot the bill.

There definitely needs to be more transparency with respect to how the Board decided that the high school auditorium could not be expanded. Why not? The answer is we don't know. Also, is the published approx. $200 annual tax increase attributable to this referendum a gross number, or is it net of savings derived from the maturing bond issue and refinancing of existing debt? If it's a net number than the Board needs to show the true cost to taxpayers of this bond issue, not net of any other savings.
