For a city the size of Atlanta, there are very few dog parks available. Chastain Park is a beautiful, multi-purpose park that attracts many people and dogs from surrounding neighborhoods and beyond. Dog parks are a great community-building amenity. People congregate while their dogs play, and friends (and sometimes more) are made; these relationships support a happier, safer community! The Chastain Park Conservancy is a wonderful group of citizens who work to improve the park. When asked, they stated that there is not a dog park incorporated into the park's master plan, because there is not enough interest. Let's show them that there is!
