Charlie Tansek has dedicated his life to writing, recording, performing, and promoting Polish polka music in the greater Penn-Ohio area and beyond. In addition to playing concertina, accordion, clarinet, trumpet, piano, drums, and singing, Charlie has composed dozens of songs and has written and arranged hits for other bands including Eddie Blazonczyk's Versatones and Bruno Mikos and the Harmony Stars. He has backed Li'l Wally, Wanda & Stephanie, and Casey Siewierski just to name a few greats, and he recorded one of the earliest non-Versatones albums on Belaire Records. Anybody who knows Charlie personally will tell you how great a friend and a person he is, always willing to chat a while, play a song for you, or buy you a drink. Charlie has been at it for over 50 years, if anyone is deserving of the honor of HOF status this time around it's him!
