My journey home has become a farce since this diabolically planned implementation. Does Walsall council know anything about their own district? They are so out of touch with everything, it's embarrassing.

Whilst intentions may have been good unfortunately results are far from it.

The disruption this has caused to free flowing traffic is unbelievable. In an age we should be combating air pollution and has been proven that even speed bumps increase this risk, you have agreed to make changes which now ultimately means travelling from the m6 into Walsall now involves waiting in additional traffic for 5 minutes at non-peak times and at least 10 minutes for peak times. I also question why there have been lanes dedicated to turning into the bell inn when it would be better to make it mandatory for a u turn further up the road for any vehicles wanting to enter the pub, and for vehicles leaving the public house only allowed to turn left (heading towards walsall town center)

Ridiculous new layout of the road, I live locally and use bham rd often and I think it did not make an improvement whereas it made things worse. Cars overtaking and forcing the way in lanes are very dangerous!! Need to make better improvements quick!!

I think that these changes to the Walsall/Birmingham Road have not been properly thought through. Why change something that isn’t broken? I use that road every day where the road layout has changed it was never unsafe in my opinion.

The so called improvements have done nothing except cause total chaos. Traffic backing up towards JT7. Why on earth nobody carries out a feasibility study before implementing it first. Hold your hands up and admit it you got this wrong. Very frustrated Great Barr resident.

There are better ways to slow traffic down than measures which are simply causing huge traffic jams in both directions and inviting more drivers to take short cuts through Park Hall estate.

Absolutely ludicrous! Traffic flow has worsened. It’s added 30 minutes to my daily journey home.
Very angry. Sort it out! What a waste of public finances in difficult times of cuts!

It is causing significant delays on my commute home. One night it took me 20 minutes to get down Birmingham Road. Also, getting out of Walstead Road is becoming an issue. One morning I sat through 6 traffic light changes. Local residents should have been consulted.

When this scheme was first proposed the Walsall Council Engineering and Transportation Services said "there was no traffic on the A34 Birmingham Road". People who make these crackpot decisions do not have to live with the consequences.

I travel on this route everyday and live on the Birmingham Road in Walsall and my parents live on Park Hall Estate, two key areas in this petition. For all the reasons cited in this petition, I agree with all of them, unequivocally. The highlighted route is now dangerous, frustratingly busy at all times of the day and the changes made are simply farcical. It needs to be changed back to two lanes with immediate effect, because it is not working at all. Council tax rises hit everyone hard in the area and our hard earned money being spent on this remodelling has made a busy section of road and the surrounding areas affected significantly to the detriment of everyone. Please listen to local people and change this situation without further haste, it's a nightmare.
