Chaos! - The New Birmingham Road Layout

due to the change causing huge tailbacks, Park Hall Road has become a short cut. this is dangerous. why would you change 2 lanes to 1 lane both ways? can the council please give residents reasons for the change????

Please change traffic light sequencing to ease jams

This lane change causes ridiculous amounts of traffic and inconvenience for everybody.

The new road layout is rediculous. The traffic on bham rd towards walsall by merrions wood starts early afternoon through to late teatime. This, together with regular mway diversions from junction 7 during the night with crawling traffic gives no respite for residents. We cant have bedroom windows open at night and cant sleep with the noise of the traffic and angry exchanges. Some of us work shifts you know! If it goes on then a mass council tax reduction petition is needed !!

Absolute shambles. Waste of money. Needs sorting.

I’m very disappointed at Walsall Council yet again. You’re supposed to enable us as a society and not make it harder for us going about our daily lives. No wonder people would rather sit at home and not work. At least they don’t have to sit in the traffic which has now been made even worse by this terrible idea. What a waste of tax payers money. Undo this mess!

What an absolute waste of tax payers money and the cherry on the top is that you’re making us sit in traffic for even longer than before with these changes we knew nothing about and we were not even given the opportunity to be consulted about. How can you get away with doing this!? Serious reconsideration needs to be done because this is a disaster Walsall Council.

This new layout is the most stupid idea. The traffic was bad enough with two lanes. What was the thought process in reducing it to one?!!?

It's a huge mistake that is causing so much traffic.

Change back to two lanes

At 7 o’clock in the morning there is traffic all the way back from the lights to the island by the travellodge hotel - ridiculous this is causing traffic to turn on to the estate by Springdale Avenue or even before that and travel through a residential estate often at speed to try and bypass the lights - surely this is having the opposite effect to that desired. I hope it doesn’t result in a serious accident on the estate especially with a primary school on the route now being taken. Did anyone actually think this through!

Not sure why Walsall council have changed, the road markings without consulting the residents who actually live around the area, we did not receive any information from the council that they were intending to change two lanes into one, its traffic chaos now. The council decision to make this change is a disgrace and something needs to be done..

Nothing wrong with old road layout. Waste of taxpayers money and created more traffic chaos than resolve. The road traffic accidents in the area were probably not caused due to the road layout, but other cause which probably did not merit the new changes.

This is causing more road rage and dangerous driving due to the extensive traffic, revert the changes!

This new layout has made the road even more dangerous than before! Why not use average speed check cameras instead? Chaos.
