Surely the point of the new road layout is to increase safety. In actual fact it encourages dangerous driving through creating rat runs in small roads. Ridiculous!

Not only must we revert to the original road layout, but also the fool who suggested the changes and has caused this massive inconvenience should be held to account. He/she probably isn't even a resident. There was no consultation before the changes were made, and there seems to be no apparent beneficiary to the changes, not even the three pedestrians who use this stretch of road every hour. Shambolic.

Which bright spark at the Council came with the current road scheme ? No wonder council rates have gone up 5% I would suspect they will have to do a complete U turn.

The new road layout is causing havoc on our side roads an accident waiting to happen

Changes have created a bottle neck in both directions.. even outside the rush hours..leading to more pollution..agitated drivers .. performing dangerous manoeuvres.. taking short cuts through residential streets.. in the short the roads are now more dangerous.. please consider alternative measures which allow 2 lanes in both directions.

The new changes have caused a major increase in traffic and congestion! I live around the corners and getting Home journey has increase by 10 mins! Plus the cars that cut though the estate are a serious danger hazard!

I agree with too much traffic on park hall estate. They need to remove the one lane instead of perivous two lanes.

Absolute pathetic, i have wonder if they used a primary school to take on this project to save costs. I myself started to use the back roads because theres traffic both ways junction 7 to bell inn and then metro inn to bell inn. Im not wasting time in traffic. Funny thing is there are 5 entrances into parkhall estate but yet they marked the first lane to only turn left into the estate which NO one uses because there are 4 other entrances!! Why mend something that hasnt been broken! Surely they must have noticed the increasing traffic now

I cannot see how the creation of a bottleneck is the only way to make the road safer. There is traffic queues at 6.30am in the morning. The 2 lanes at the traffic lights was not the reason the road was dangerous
