Our school should be normal and follow the 100-90 is an a grading system that has worked for other schools.

This only affects unweighted GPA. It does not change any of the weighted scales currently in use.

This change only affects unweighted GPA. It would not change the weighted GPA scales

Will this change impact honors and AP classes though? With this new change, the GPA might actually go down in those classes

This should have been the scale in the first place...

This is ridiculous!

This is cheating students out of the GPAs they earned and isn't even consistent within OJR's own grading system. Colleges will recognize when some high schools grade more harshly than others, but an A is still a 92 even if it takes a 97 to get the 4.0. Treat the students fairly.

It's about time someone brought this to the forefront! I want my name and online signature shown! My tax dollars are going towards a school district that is NOT the academic powerhouse it once was! We what has the board done to make this district better? Almost every other school districts have an appropriate grading scale - not OJR! Please, Please, Please ... bring back Myra !!!

Time to be fair to our kids and give them the same opportunity to them as others do. This makes no sense why our grading system would be this way.

As a salutatorian last year, you can tell I cared a lot about my grades. I worked myself into the ground, and found myself disappointed even when I missed one question on a test, when in reality that is a good grade that should be celebrated. It's unrealistic to expect students to be perfect for an entire year. I don't think ojr knows how hard it is to only err 3% of the time for so long. Being perfect over 90% of the time is impressive and students should feel proud of excelling that much.

College admission is competitive and ojr students need to be on a level playing field with students from other districts!
