This is a petition to change laws relating to juveniles. In March and early April youths in west Kempsey bashed and robbed an elderly woman in her home, leaving her severely injured and traumatized, cars have been vandalized and maliciously damaged, adults and there babies have been threatened with death, shops have been vandalized and robbed, local security guards have been threatened with weapons and their property smashed people have stated there scared to go shopping at Woolworths Aldi and Coles shopping complexes, all done by children 16 years old and under in juvenile gangs. Children run amuck in Kempsey central plaza on pushbikes threatening people with knives and stealing items from shops. They roam the streets disrupting traffic during the day and night. They steal anything they can get their hands-on including plants from people’s gardens. There parents obviously have no interest in supervising their children and keeping them out of trouble.

(THE LAW IS HEAVELY BIASED TOWARD CHILDREN AND WE ARE POWERLESS TO ACT) ….
These children are growing up with no consequences for their actions, and it is only a matter of time till someone dies as a result of these kid’s actions.
We need laws changed to provide serious consequences for children of all school ages and punishment for parents who don’t care were there children are at night or day, or what they get up too ….
Children 16 years old and under should be home at dusk UNLESS under PERENTAL ADULT supervision. For public safety as well as their own.

I support this petition in belief that our laws need to change. Our elders need to be protected and parents need to be held accountable for not being a parent.
Agree strongly. If I let my kids do half of the stuff they do I'd be locked up! More consequences for parents!
Kempsey will continue to get worse , its clear the perants dont care about there kids actions, and if the police are powerless , well the perants should do there prison time and pay the fines because of there kids actions and crime related activities
I’ve just moved here and just can’t get over how much crime there is here. Don’t tell me that it’s like this everywhere because ITS NOT!! I’ve lived all over Australia. Kempsey needs to change and this is a good idea. It starts in the homes!
Yes.Kids should be held responsible.Kids do ALOT of damage cause they know they'll just get a slap on the hand so they go do more things and laugh about it.They think it's a great joke and the law is.
yes the kids do need to be controlled , people shouldnt have to live in fear

Most Children learn right and wrong from a young age so I reckon laws need to be changed If you do a crime you do the time if they are underage then the parents should be heard accountable or the child accountable for their actions If it was my children doing wrong and I found out I would make them accountable for their actions
