The government adopted our proposal to update privacy regulations so parents can access vital safety information about offenders in our neighborhoods. This victory belongs to all 226 of you who pushed for these changes. Stay alert and keep monitoring our local police portals to ensure these new protocols are implemented …
We ask that the Government of Canada change its Privacy laws in order to give parents and care-givers the right to controlled information about the whereabouts of known predatory child sex offenders living in the area. These changes would allow parents to safeguard their children by contacting police in order to obtain details of high risk peodophiles who are known to reside within the community. "
The stories shared in the comments prove that families need real safety tools. Email your local Member of Parliament today to demand that they prioritize this change to privacy laws.
