City of Bismarck needs to clean up their act in the downtown area - people don’t feel safe there anymore and it’s sad. They let bums sit around and drink and harass people. Call the cops and nothing gets done. It’s amazing to me that they are so worried how many dogs you have, while the downtown area has gone to hell.

City ordinance should only be applied when dealing with hoarding situations, breeders and people who do not take care of their pets. Imagine how full the shelters would be if they actually went to every home and removed any dog over 3???? There's enough needing homes the way it is. Require them to be licensed and vaccinated and leave them be.

As long as anything on YOUR OWN PRIVATE PROPERTY is not causing a health risk or danger to the public, there is no reason to put your family or your pets through that emotional anguish.

Trespassing and invasion of privacy is not right. Just because they work for the city does not give them this right. These people work for US not the other way around. They are elected and are paid with our taxes....perhaps it's time to remind them.
