In light of the recent riots seen across the UK by the delinquent youth of our society, we believe it is high time we dealt with the central issues at work. The family justice system in the uk denies fathers proper access to their children, and in some cases prevents it altogether due to the fathers lack of funding. This in turn creates millions of broken families across the UK without a strong father figure, and most as in this case turn to crime. A husband had no choice but to put his family in debt of £5000, in order to secure an every other fortnight contact agreement with his daughter, agreed after five years of fighting through the courts. There were no welfare concerns. We the undersigned propose that the system changes to allow named fathers automatic contact rights with their obligitory maintenance payments. We propose this contact is held every week. Should there be concerns, a case should be put to the courts by the mother. Should the father require greater access, this also should be brought to the courts by the father. Should the mother fail to oblige these rights, it would result in a criminal offense. Children have a right to fathers.
