I lived in Perkins- the reasoning behind why our room required a meal plan was because there was no dining room table. There was a 4-seat bar facing the kitchen but apparently that is not a sufficient surface to eat food on... complete money grab.

The food offered at the dining halls are just not good enough to eat at for every meal, ESPECIALLY the dining hall on south campus. Options here are limited and the staff are often lazy. NOT worth $17 per meal.

Prominent concern. Definitely an issue with the meal plan system at UML.

This is beyond unreasonable and overpriced. Students shouldn't be forced to eat on campus and if they are, this should absolutely not be the price. Fix it!

UML does a lot of things wrong and makes no efforts to fix them. It's likely that I'll be transferring.

I am thoroughly displeased with the quality and variety of UML dining. We are paying a outrageous amount for food that is very unsatifying. Umass Amherst pays the same amount for the best food in the country.

I agree with you. A person with a career who is trying to budget wouldn't pay that much. If you shop on your own, you would save so much more money.

so true you cant be charging $17 a meal when your food isn't anywhere close to restaraunt quality yall need to relax because you're already making enough money from us and I really don't want your meal plan

This post is so factual and is absolutely ridiculous we have to pay 17$ per meal for the very low quality of food given in the dining hall when in reality i can just chef up some dankness in my kitchen in perkins. I truly hope this petition changes the dining hall prices and options because this is awful

The current situation does not seem fair or equitable.
