Trying to use girls as a prop so that boys don't get distracted, is so disrespectful . Us as girls want to feel confident in our body's, not shameful when we get told to change our outfits.

I just found out that my new school says I can't were shorts above my knees. If I'm in P.E I want to were the right amount of clothing. The dress code is not only sexist but it's teaching girls to not express them selfs in ways that are ridiculous!! When I'm in class I come to learn and when the dress code you it totally distracts you and makes you fall behind in what you are learning. I just came from one school with ridiculous rules I hope this school isn't the same. BAND THE DRESSCODE!!!!! - Lucy johnson

I think that it is very courageous of you to do this. I support your outlook on the dress code and its restrictions. You are speaking and sharing what so many wouldn't, even if they think the dress code is limiting. I applaud you for that

(DO NOT PUT MY NAME IN YOUR INSTAGRAM IF YOU POST THIS PLEASE)The dresscode is idiotic, to put it simply. White hill is in fairfax. It gets hot there. But we can't wear shorts above mid thigh. Not only is it hard to find those in stores, but they are just plain ugly. Also, tank tops with 2 inch straps, minimum. TRY AND FIND THAT IN A STORE. The only way you will get a tank top that you like is if you cut up a shirt you like by hacking the sleeves off. For some reason, boys wear longer shorts than girls. That is how it is. One does not find knee length shorts in the girls area of stores, but can easily find them in the boys area. It is acceptable (usually) for boys to wear stuff like that. It is also usually acceptable for girls to wear short shorts and skirts. But we can't in school, because we might distract the boys and take away from their precious learning experience. However, they don't have to worry about how it is going to affect their grades when deciding what clothes to wear. This is showing them that they have power over us because the school is doing something special to make sure that they learn and pay attention. But we don't see them having to change their appearance and how they feel comfortable looking so WE can learn and pay attention. Wonder why. Also, the "no rips in pants above mid thigh" thing. Wtf. Because seeing a small sliver of my sexy thighs (being sarcastic here) is going to take away from the learning experience of 6,7, and 8th grade boys. In fact, I think I will wear my favorite jeans to school the first day. The ripped ones. And just see how many boys pay attention to me, because the majority of them don't even know my name and I am going into eighth. What a shame (sarcasm again) How about ms. Garrabrant's rule for the trip instaif of the dress code? The three "B" 's. No boobs, No butt, and no Belly showing. This lets us wear shorts and skirts and tank tops but without getting too out of hand. It would work just fine on those 99° days w

My sister really doesn't have many pairs of pants the are dress code, whatever's better for her. In olden days a glimpse of stocking was looked on as something shocking but now? Actually it's still pretty shocking at white hill. Who cares what white hill wants, anything goes

I approve what my child wears, but I don't approve the dresscode. It's ridiculous. Girls at this age need to discover themselves, and by having a dresscode it is making it hard. I think the dresscode needs to change.

Girls should be able to wear whatever they feel comfortble in if it has to involves leggings shirt or skirts or anything they aren't allowed to wear
