Your identity is not a checkbox. Who you are shouldn’t be constrained to eight simple options. When asked of our race we shouldn’t have to pick the option we are given. We should be able to fill in who we are. We created this petition to change the way race is asked on standardized test (ACTs, SATs, etc), job applications, college common application, social media, and anything that wants to know who you are. YES! about time someone said something.
totally agree with this. keep the test about my skills not my background.
tired of being forced into a box that doesnt even describe who i am.
why do they even need to know my race to see if i can do math?? ridiculous.
It never really occurred to me before the significance of that question. All I have to say about it is that it shouldn't be on there because people shouldn't judge people's test scores based on their race or associate the two in any significant way.

it makes no sense to put a label on us before we even start the test. just let us take the exam.
