We the below signed demand that the following changes to the current Texas Workers Compensation Laws to make it fair to Texas workers who have been injured on the job.

1). That the injured employee be allowed to sue his or her employer to recover lost income (the 30% of their income that was lost when they were placed on workers comp), as it is not fair that the injured employee be punished for having suffered an injury while on the job.

2). That the employee be allowed to sue their employer for unfair treatment, such as being forced to work while the employee is clearly injured, in pain and needing time to heal and recover from their injuries.

3). That any injured employee be allowed to choose the medical doctor who will provide all treatment of their injuries, as the current policy that forces injured employees to be treated by the medical doctor the employer chooses is clearly unfair, as the employer has control over the doctor and in many cases is able to force the company paid doctor to change work restrictions in favor of the employer and not in the best interest and well being of the injured employee.

4). That the injured employee be allowed to sue the treating medical doctor if it is learned (by the injured employee)that the treating doctor or medical center have failed to record any concern or statement of injury(s)made knownby the injured employee and to notify the injured employee's employer or workers comp provider of the employee's concern or statement of injuries.

5). That these changes shall cover all injured Texas workers who were injured while in the employ of any company in Texas no matter when the Texas Employee were injured.

We the below signed demand that injured Texas workers receive fair treatment and feel these changed be made to insure that all injured Texas workers be granted these protections under the Texas Workers Comp Laws.
