Chinook Salmon have become both an ecological and economic plus for the entire Lake Ontario region. According to officials they are reproducing on there own in the ecosystem at substantial levels and should continue to be supported.

This is long overdue. After Man's miscues left the Great Lakes a waste land, the introduction of Chinook Salmon was one of the greatest programs ever implemented. Not only a tremendous boon to the Great Lakes states/provinces economies, the Chinook is a biological savior. It's introduction and control of alewives has allowed the rebound of Yellow Perch and Walleye, and may someday lead to the restoration of Lake Trout. Long live the KING!
