Mumford High School seniors class of 2021 have been told they have to pay $400 for senior dues. Most of the class cannot pay senior dues, due to covid-19. It is outrageous that we have to pay $400 for something that isn't even going to possibly happen due to Covid. We need our senior dues to be at least $200 since we probably aren't going to have a prom and graduation. And if we do it's going to be at the school and not at a venue. The staff clearly don’t understand that some of our parents are not working due to covid and students cannot pay this either.

I have been hearing from so many of you who are struggling to explain these costs to your families. Please know that I am actively gathering these stories to present directly to the administration because they need to see the reality behind these numbers.

Seeing this level of support reminds me that I am not alone in worrying about how my family will afford these costs. It feels like the school is finally beginning to realize that expecting four hundred dollars right now is completely unreasonable.

I strongly agree because they are working and getting a check does not mean our parents are working and getting checks due to COVID it’s hard on a lot of us.
We literally live paycheck to paychecks, my mom gets paid every 2 weeks she won’t be able to give me $400 by Jan 28th. It’s just too much
Hello Class of 2021, This is Mrs. McVay and Mrs. Edwards your Senior Advisors. We are glad to see you all using your voice to obtain the change that you desire to see. We only asked that you all post accurate information. We have stated several times for you all to join the senior committee as well as reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns. Only a few seniors have done so. On this Friday during your lunch hour we will have a senior meeting to discuss concerns. I want you all to understand that your senior dues are only $160. If you choose to participate in prom there is a fee as well if you choose to participate in graduation there is an additional fee. The choice is yours .... it’s optional. You all are requesting that dues be $200 but it’s actually cheaper, it’s only $160. If any of you have any questions or concerns again I ask you to reach out to us on Teams or email us at [email protected]
I totally agree with what the students are saying parents aren’t working due to Covid and can’t afford to pay the whole $400
If our prom is at school there shouldn’t be one because some staff was diagnosed with covid not safe or sanitary. Also if it’s going to be a prom it has to be legitimately true
I agree that senior dues are too much ‼️
First y’all put all this work on us, now y’all want us to pay 400? Make it make sense.

i feel like they should at least be 250 at least. but yeah im only a cashier, i cant make 400$
