Agree w Jessica. Any monies earned by this event should not be added to LTE of horses, riders or owners. The method of issuing invitations, NRHA approval and sponsorships are truly under the table.

If you are having an "Invitational Event", the prize money should be not be recorded by the NRHA. We are in support of the "Run For The Million Event" and the additional exposure it brings to the Reining industry.

We need to ensure that decisions are made based on the membership and not for a select few. As a life member I expect full transparency and a vote on such a critical change.

I do not agree with all the points stated. But strongly agree with the earnings from this event not counting for Lifetime Earning of Horse and Rider. It is unfair to all riders not being invited, and to all the horses that did not have the opportunity to compete, both past and present. It affects the other horses ability to obtain breedings based on earnings and the living of the other trainings to attract customers based on their earning status if the NRHA uses this earning to affect life time records. According to the NRHA Bylaws is is clear and apparent that 3 Executive Board Member are either Directly or Indirectly conflicted in this matter as they would or could have personal gain and ahould have reclused themselves in this vote, and should not have voted. The Exexcutive Director should disqualify the vote of this individuals resulting in an 11-3 vote not to count the earnings. Being responsible for the NRHA organization, he must take action on this matter. The breeders and other professionals were never contacted on whether or not the earnings should be countered and it affects their future livelyhood. The Executive board should not make decisions for the membership without their imput. They represent the membership and should their input before voting on matters as important as this. The Nrha and its Executive Director must take action now!

Sport is supposed to offer equal opportunities to all. An invitational event does not offer equal opportunities . Great initiative , but it can’t count towards LTE.
