I can't agree more for changing the rule. Speaking first hand as over 80+ entered tournaments in a ten year span to find out you missed in the middle of the ten years by a day or so recovering from heartworm disease. and you know your dog ran it's little heart out but it would be impossible to ever attain because you can't turn the clocks back! Dogs just don't live long enough..... :( Please consider changing the rule.

I agree that the word consecutive needs to be dropped.

my two aussies missed some time but ran hard and unflattering...they deserved the ten year pin...but they are gone now. If a dog runs for ten years it should not matter if it was consecutive or not.

I had a dog who raced till she was 14.5 years with a 2 year break at one point due to a move to an area with no flyball. She certainly raced for 10 years, but they weren't consecutive.

To all our old dogs who race their hearts out and those who can no longer race with us. 10 years is enough to be an iron dog, consecutive or not.

10 yrs in total is a milestone that should be celebrated, it should not have to be consecutive number of yrs! The rule should be amended in the interest of fairness.

Please change "consecutive years" as this doesn't account for dogs who are ill or injured and are out for an extended period of time. Does their time spent in recovery or hard work in rehab so that they come back to the game strong not count?? It should! Ten years total please!

Had a team dog that was disqualified due to consecutive years. She's was one of the best dogs out there. For you, Ping!
