This is a specifically Scottish celebration, and should therefore be illustrated with the Saltire instead of the Union Jack.

again OUR National heritage is ignored ,Burns was Scottish ,and sure made ppl aware of it,UK.GB whatever anyone wants to call it ,has NO claim on him ,nor indeed many things that are inherently Scottish ,but this is something we feel very strongly about ,as we know he would NOT be happy to be considered British, not at all

I agree the flag should be The Saltire as respect to the Scots people and one of our heros' Robert Burns who's poetry and songs are known the world over.

I would like the Saltire which is Scotland's national flag to represent our national day of Robert Burns The union flag is not the national flag of Scotland but is the national flag of the United Kingdom Of Great Britain And Northern Ireland which is a Kingdom of Kingdoms in a political union but they are still individual countries as such and so Scotland's national day should be celebrated with Scotland's national flag
