You wouldn't use the butchers apron for Shakespeare, but use the English flag. So why use the union rag for Robert Burns, Scotlands most famous bard.

Celebrating burns all over the world' it's important to the Scottish 'that his country of birth is recognised ' what better way of doing this 'by flying the saltire or displaying it on his achievements

Burns Supper is principally a Scottish celebration and using the Union Jack rather than the Scottish Saltire flag is something of an insult.

Please treat us like the other nations in this United Kingdom. Sr. Patrick's day and St. David's day as well as St. Georges day all have their own nations flag. Scotland flies the saltire as befitting the celebrations of our patron saint. NOT a British but a Scotish patron saint.

This is a Scottish event and should have the Scottish flag on it!

When it's a Scottish event then a St Andrews Cross should be used, just like when it's an English Welsh or Northern Irish event then their flag should be used and not the Union Jack! I know how fair Facebook are and expect you to respect this request Thank you

Burns Day celebrates the life and times of Robert Burns, SCOTLANDS most famous bard. Burns was SCOTTISH, lived in SCOTLAND (Ayrshire to be precise - where his ancestoral cottage is now a museum) and travelled as a SCOT. The National Flag of SCOTLAND is the blue and white SALTIRE - called Saltire as it is flag of Scotland - NOT the Union Jack of the U.K. Just the same as Wales has the dragon on theirs (which isn't on the Union Jack) Sort it out Facebook - or you will be offending millions of proud Scots both in Scotland and all over the world x
