Many of us enjoy living at I House and would like to continue to do so and promote it to future residents. Unfortunately, policies like this restrictive and exorbitant guest policy make it very difficult for us to do so. This will surely discourage future residents from choosing I House as their home.

If there was more communication and discussion at a more opportune time, I might be more willing to adjust to a change in the guest policy. However, as it stands now, I don't believe this is fair.

4L - I never received any official notification of this shift in policy via e-mail. The lack of warning seems very disruptive to plans of having family and friends visit, which I'm sure many here already have in place. There is also no explanation of why any of these added restrictions are necessary. Both the timing and the tone of this announcement seems disrespectful to me.

Planned my brothers trip to the US based on the previous policy. The new ones came as a surprise.

Kind of wish I had not moved in to I-House. I am grateful to live here but I am also paying to live here.

There needs to be more direct communication between the administration and the residents. We are grateful to live here. However, we are students and young professionals. We cannot afford these extra demands being placed on us when we have guests visiting.

I believe Ihouse is becoming increasingly restrictive and unfair and hope that the administration begins to realize this. We are a community of adults and do not need their constant restricting, it hinders our ability to take full advantage of living in New York.
