Dear Sir/Madam:
Thank you for accepting and training my daughter in this noble profession to serve mankind. I remember my own rigors of going through medical school, residency & fellowship.
As a parent and physician It will be a great honor and privilege to be able to participate in the hooding ceremony and to celebrate the great accomplishments of these young doctors and thank the awesome deans and faculty that trained them.
Please be inclusive of us at this long awaited once in a lifetime event.
Thank you for your consideration.
Respectfully,
Stella M. Bulengo, MD, FAAD. FASDP

We the student body treasure the traditions on our family celebrating and honoring us by hooding us during the ceremony. I have to see such a touching and meaningful moment to be taken from us.

It was dubbed the "Meharry Way" for a special reason. Let's keep it that way.

Please do not take this tradition away from the school! Not everyone has a doctor or dentist in their family, but every family should have the right to celebrate their newest addition.

All individuals regardless of level of academic merit should be able to have the honor of hooding graduates.
