Yeah it's not gonna happen. Whoever made this didn't get a big enough goal. There's 10 times that in Cfisd.

Look, as great as it would be for us to be able to exempt and miss a ton of school but it's not gonna happen. I 100% guarantee that CFISD will not change that rule. Kids need to go to school, and to be honest kids who never come to school don't deserve to exempt. The rule is there for a reason.

Abscenses should be excused with a doctor's note, as they did seek medical attention and isn't skipping.

This has been a big issue everywhere in the Cy-Fair school district. All of my friends have been conplaining because they would be sick for 5 days because of strep and the flu and they wouldn't get exemptions. This is outrageous

I'm a Family Nurse Practitioner and this makes sense. Excused absences due to illness should not penalize the student.

My daughter is diabetic. She cant go to school if her blood sugar isn't normal. Sometimes she has to be late or miss school.

You are absolutely right! I know so many parents that let their child go to school with a fever so they can ensure their exemption. It should be based on grades.
