If you have a problem with my skin it's your fault not mine.

I am the parent of a SPS Middle School student, and I agree that the dress code should be changed to reflect the fair and equal society that we want to live in! You, the students who started this petition, are brave and admirable!

Girls in this school district and in the whole world SHOULD NOT be raised in schools where the first rule of thumb is to hide and be ashamed of our bodies. We should not be taught that at age 11 were are sexual objects to boys, and therefore must be covered up. We are taught that even showing a bra strap is highly inappropriate, when it is just a reality of life for girls and women. I know this is school districts administrators basically do nothing and don't listen to anyone's voices who actually have experience in schools and classrooms, but I strongly believe in this and hope something can be changed about the dress codes in our school district.

If a high-school sophomore is taking time out of her AP week to sign this, then it's important. My body should not heed my right to an education and neither should anyone else's.

I think this is an amazing partition because when a GIRL is sent home or has to change you are saying that a boys education is more important than a girls.
