Asking for a repeal on re entry visa please. Im an Irish citizen who lived abroad for over 25 years and would like to be able to invite my friends to visit was refused on a long list of outdated rules that make Ireland seem unwelcoming to other nationalities who are not Americans or European. Yet we as Irish people expect to be welcomed by every other country.

Visa process is so complex in Ireland. If you can't elimiate the muti-entry visa step, atleast please consider bringing back the online reservation system for visa appointments. Thanks.

Reentry visa and two step application for visa needs to be joined/steamlined and made more efficient. With today's IT systems it is a definite possibility. Whether the will exists to make the investment - political, financial, accept change, departmental tussle breaking - is the question.
@Sanjay, Believe there is a will acceptance to change, hence we are trying. Kindly change the tone and tenor of the petition wordings. Surely Irish politicians/responsible will understand if we tell them this is archiac and EU has moved ahead. So should they.
