This child is too young to be that far away from her home;(. A lot of us live here bc it's a small town where people really care! Let's show Lily how important she is by changing her bus stop!!! She's worth it - trust me - she's my granddaughter;)

I know perfectly well what this mother is saying in regards to bus stops... My children were in Lapeer school district for many years (until my recent move in September out of district), my oldest was in the high school when I started having trouble with bus stops... You see the district thinks its alright to have a bus stop right directly in front of a house that has shown for years to be a registered sex offender... I was told then when she was in 9th grade (which was obviously quite some time ago because my oldest graduated from West in 2012) that the only thing she could do was change stops to which I did have her do. The original bus stop was about the distance of what this mother is describing, as well it did not have sidewalks and was right to a tee of what this mother described. That bus stop simply isnt SAFE for children to have to be walking and waiting (mind you I dont know if it is the same bus stop but the one my children were told to use... Def is not safe in any way!! My middle child was told the same bus stop was suppose to be his to which I contacted the school and expressed my same exact concerns about the home by the stop was where a registered sex offender lived, to which I was told yet again, "we did not know that" and to send my son the other direction to a different bus stop. My vote definitely goes to this mother... I hope you are able to get this corrected and good luck!!

PLease don't continue to make this child walk fr in te snow. Especially in s cold. No child should be out in below zero degree weather to walk to a bus stop when she is te only one being picked up. Picing her up at her house will not be making other children walk in this cold weather.
