Change Strata Property Act Requirement From 75% Vote To 60% Vote For Approval Of Resolutions

75% majority can lead to decisions that are not democratic and potentially support the will of the minotity.

This law allows a minority of people in a community to defeat the wishes of the majority. The law is weighted too much in one direction. A vote of 60 % for a motion to carry would be much fairer.

60 percent is a good majority.75 percent is untenable

60 percent is more than adequate to reflect a majority and provides an adequate safety net differential of 10 percent.

75% is unreasonable. Why should 25% have control. 60% sounds much more fair.

For or Against I don't feel that a minority should have all the power. To me 51% is a majority so 60% would be more than just.

I think the real issue with the government is the fact that true economic development is being held up by a minority. I think this is the only avenue that will hit home with the government.

The existing system means that 25% have control, not realistic in a large strata.

Times are moving ahead, so must legislation regarding the Strata Property Act of BC. Concur fully with the proposed change for the passing of any guvenb Resolution held at any Special General Meteting/ Annual General Meeting
