I hav always thought it was a 80 zone I think it also has a lot to do with how ppl drive . Is very sad the life's that hav been losted thou

This is a must. The cousin of the young man who is the most recent victim is distraught and as is the rest of the family. I knew the niece of another victim as well and she still cannot cope properly. It's not just the victims affected.

Why should they change the speed limit when come on let's face it they were due to speeding above the speed limit I think it is fine

Yes the speed limit needs to be lifted to atleast 150 the speed limits are to fucking low if u cant drive farst and safe dont drive at all

people will still speed regardless,a 24hour speed camera needs to be installed both ends that way people won't be able to speed.

Hi, thank you for your comment and yes it is such a sad tragedy. I do agree with what you are saying and we cannot stop people deciding on stupid ideas. I think installing a speed camera at the correct spot and the occasion police patrol will help this area of speeding. But if there is anything we can give to the RMS to let them know we want something done in general this is the right place. :) Thank you

Hi, thank you for your comment. I have also added to this petition that there should also be a speed camera stalled on this road. If people know there is a speed camera at the best spot, they are less likely to speed.
I am aware there is also alcohol involved. I cannot stop the drink drivers or people who choose to speed. However this petition will help the Road's and Maritime Service to decide on the best thing for this road but mainly get them aware that people want something to change to this road. Thank you :)

It's a dangerous road, accidents happen there a lot cause it's to fast. A round about, speed cameras and new rules should be put in

I agree the speed limit needs to be changed but I also believe people will still speed through/along duffies Drive as they see it as a speed track as their is hardly any police presence on that road.

Well the 2 of the 3 deaths, the crash in 09 was caused by dangerous driving/speeding by another person. I'm not sure about the most recent crash there, which is also an absolute tragedy. But if crashes are occurring due to speeding in a 100 zone, is lowering the speed limit going to cause ANY change in peoples choices to drive dangerously? People will still speed if the limit is 80 or 50. If anything people will still speed and be more likely to overtake.

Unfortunately, it isn't just the road that is at fault here… Sadly, it's the way the drivers (esp. the young) the way they drive… They need to learn to drive to the conditions, like any other road and SLOW DOWN!!!!! such a sad tragedy
