Last year, SMT Winter was held as a tournament in the game osu! It was held as an 8 team, 4v4 size tournament with 64 teams. This year however the host would like to make it a 1v1, using a different format. Many people were looking forward to SMT Winter being a team based tournament, one of the bigger tournaments and definitely one of the more laid back/fun tournaments of the year. But with this change to a 1v1 format, it just simply won't be as fun for most players.
We as a community would like SMT Winter to be a 4v4, 8 person tournament, as the big tournaments of the year (OCWT, OHC, SMT etc) are fairly spaced out. This allows more participants, and lets them play with their friends as well. Even with a change in the format, many people would still prefer a team based tournament.
