Change School Uniform Policy
We the PARENTS of these Students are the TAXPAYERS funding this
school and we oppose a UNIFORM POLICY for the following reasons.
1. It does NOT IMPROVE the Grades of the students or the school.
2. It becomes MORE COSTLY as MULTIPLE Shirts, Pants, Shoes, and Jackets etc become needed to adhere to a UNIFORM POLICY.
3.
It becomes more COSTLY for a parent who cannot afford to buy Multiple
sets and has to increase the amount of Laundry done and water usage to
do so.
4. It does not increase SAFETY of the students.
If the
staff and faculty would strictly enforce the CURRENT DRESS CODE they
have laid out in the student code of Conduct and start implementing the
disciplinary action laid out in the student code of conduct including
but not limited to: First Offense: Student shall be given a verbal
warning and the parents or guardians shall be called.
Second
Offense: Student is INELIGIBLE to participate in Extracurricular
Activities for a period of time not to exceed 5 days and school
principal shall call parents and meet with student and parent or
guardian.
Third Or Subsequent Offense: Student shall receive an
in-school suspension persuant to s.1003.01 (5) for a period not to
exceed 3 days, the student is ineligible to participate in
extracurricular activities for a period not to exceed 30 days, and the
school principal shall call the student's parent or guardian and send
the parent or guardian a written letter regarding the student's
in-school suspension and ineligibility to participate in extracurricular
activities.
