August is one of the hottest months of the year in middle Tennessee. Regardless of kids going back to school, there are still quite a few people (parents, people like myself that work from home, home-schooled children, etc.) that will use the pool during the day. To only open at 4pm is silly.

The board does not have the homeowners best intentions because closing the pool during the day takes away any option for mothers and fathers of non school age children to take their kids to the pool. Of course the pool isn't as crowded during the day in August but so what!! We pay for the pool and we pay a lot so the irresposible decision of the board needs to be changed.

Other than the trail it really is our only amenity that we can physically use so it should be open as much as possible during the summer.

I fully agree that not opening the pool until 4pm during the hottest month of the year in the South is completely illogical. The reasons the board gave do not justify this. There needs to be an adjustment made immediately and the homeowners need to have a say...no, make that a vote. The pool is our main attraction and it doesn't make sense to take it away. We pay way too much money for this to even be an issue. We pay for the pool and it's not up to the board to decide there aren't enough using it so they'll close it. It is our pool, we pay for it and it needs to be an option for families to use it when they see fit. I have NEVER heard of an HOA closing the pool in August - it's just crazy.
