I think that the dress code is sexist and they only base it on gender and body shape. Guys don't find shoulders 'distracting' or 'scandalous' and if they do, making it a policy just makes it worse. Also, teachers try to target girls and especially girls with an 'hourglass' figure, or the ones that may be more 'attractive'. But the matter is, everyone should have an equal policy, not just the ones who may be 'more distracting'. #showtheshoulders

by the way guys this should be for all virginia beach city middle schools because the dress code isn't for one school it's for the whole city.

I don't go to Plaza but my cousin does and I love this go plaza change that dress code❤️

Some of the dress code rules are understandable, like not being allowed to wear crop tops, but some of the rules are getting kind of out of control. Such as your shirt having to be finger tip length if you are wearing leggings, or that your ripped jeans have to be below your knees. One idea we have thought of for the ripped jean rule is it having the rips be below a four inch inseam beacasue what's the difference between wearing four inch shorts and being able to see your skin below four inches through jeans. We aren't asking to completely take out these rules, just to motify them. Myself and so many other girls believe that the dress code limits our ability to express ourselves, and we are finally trying to make a change.

I'm not a student of plaza middle school but many of my friends go there. I think we should implement this at my school CLMS.
