Even though I will not be attending MHSA next year, I would like to see a better person in charge. Mr. Barry Applewhite is not and should never had been in charge of that amazing school. These kids should feel good about their school.... This sucks that we have to sign a petition to get our greedy principal down from power. #MHSANewPrinicpal

Keeping the arts will enrich a childs future into the career that they want. I understand that all schools want to be on the same schedule, but that doesn't mean take away arts. Some people go to this school because they feel more accepted by others, not saying that other schools are not welcoming. I personally came to MHSA because I want to sing, and act. But I never knew that my capabilities of Visuals Arts and Dance would advance right along with singing and acting. These teachers are very welcoming and no matter how hard the work may seem, they strive for excellence that the student can understand everything that they teach.

I love my school, but the principal is a racist, sexist prick. He has spoken ill of me and I will not tolerate him any longer.

Honestly, he does need to go. He needs to give it up. Trying too hard to fit as a "Principle." When you can't even do the job as being serious, but also understanding from students perspectives. That's why most students/ parents/ staff don't take him seriously. Simply, because he sits there and doesn't take anyone, but himself seriously and sits there and hires anyone especially some of these People in the front office. I can honestly write a book on this man and the way he isn't fit for his job.

Im saddened by his behavior being allowed in the educational field. He makes it harder for students to feel comfortable in their learning environment. I feel that it is critical he be removed from mhsa. I honestly wish I didnt have to feel this way however my child is a victim of his bullying. Please remove him.
