That is disgusting. People are under so much pressure at this time it's very unfair to treat them in such a mean manner. They should be ashamed.

€14000 for a masters to learn how to teach, promote and encourage the use of the irish language and pay €1500 to live in the Gaeltacht for 3 weeks?

This is absolutely ridiculous. This should be free if it’s all happening over zoom!

I am a student in Mary I studying gnó agus gaeilge, I have also to complete time in the Gaeltacht, which I was looking forward to, and think this fee is extremely unreasonable for online lectures for 2 weeks of summer

These students have already spent €15,000 to persue their dream.Hive them a fair chance to realise their dreams.

Be fair and reduce the fees to reflect the changes from face to face to online delivery

This is an absolute disgrace that our hardworking committed students are behind treated so shabbily.. Minister Norma Foley explain how you can stand over this discriminatory decision. Yes this course is run by privately and not state funded College but the ultimate goal is to educate students of the highest quality in order to produce future teachers of the highest calibre. Shame on you Minister for allowing a double standard to proceed in relation to grant allowances for students from state funded colleges and not from Hibernia College. As you are well aware this has been a very difficult time for many students. Some totally overwhelmed and feeling unsupported. Now these same students are also expected to pay 650 euro per fortnight for an online Gaeltacht course run by Gaeltact. In all fairness minister how can this amount of money be justified? These students have already an excellent standard of Gaelic. In my daughter's case an A1 in her Leaving Cert. I would appeal to you to reconsider this double standard that you support when it comes to the accessibility of Gealteacht experience and the positive outcome and love of our native language for these bright future teachers. You are no example to these wonderful students.
