The CPCS scheme is not the way forward for plant operators in this country.

I have been driving machines like many other for over 30 years and dam good at it. Now CITB tells me if I can not sit a test for over an hour and a half to renew the categories I have on my ticket I am no longer able to drive excavators.

This is nonsense. This is not the way forward to produce quality plant operators. This system of passing tests is causing unrest with operators who have vast years of experience, now being told if you don't pass a computer test you can not operator any plant.

I think it is time we challenged the CITB and the Government to change this. This is just a scheme to make money off the plant operators.
