All of the Play It Again Sports, Plato's Closet, Music Go Round and Once Upon A Child stores have joined forces to change Michigan's secondhand dealer laws to protect the privacy of our customers and allow our stores to continue offering the ability to buy and sell gently used items to our customers.

As you may not know, current Michigan law requires us to collect private information from all of our customers, as well as collect their fingerprints, with every baby outfit, soccer cleat, violin, and pair of jeans sold to one of our stores. Although Michigan has not always enforced this statute, companies are now selling their services to local police departments to make all of this information electronically available and forcing many of our stores to collect and transmit this information on a daily basis.
