As a combat veteran I've always wondered why there's only a single day dedicated to veterans, with an entire month for gay pride. During that month we could talk about 20 amazing heroes a day that GAVE THEIR LIVES for this country and not even scratch the surface of what the brave women and men that made the ultimate sacrifice did for America. Vets have one day in November. The rest of the month is trans awareness month?!?! At a minimum we need to make the entire month Veterans Month and take them out of that month all together. In fact, give them ONE day in June. Aren't they the "T" in LGBT? Not sure the LGB's of the group would appreciate that, but I can tell you 99% of us vets definitely don't appreciate having a SINGLE day in a "trans" month. Trans awareness really should be a day in mental health awareness month. SMH. Get it together America. Let's be great again!
