Change in the sentence for a violent public disorder

life sentence for simon and his family should be 15 yr minimum sentence for thugs like these

The sentences are a joke they should reflect the harm done to Simon and his family

The minimum should be 10 years . Teach the thugs a lesson and punish them , 10 years of there lives is nothing compared to what they have done to Simon and his fanily.

I think it should be a sentence of at least 15 years for this terrible crime.

The justice system world wide needs review....lets do it

Judith Cooper formally United Kingdom,now United States I knew Nicole and family when I was in uk,and still stay in contact with the family.I think the sentence those thugs got was a laugh if it had been here in United States they would of got something like 20 years and it would of been attempted murder.The British laws are a laugh,just smack there hands and tell them not to do it again.

Simon and family are facing a life sentence - 5 years goes no where near what these thugs deserve! The law needs to change if the deterrent is to be effective.

The law must be updated to be able to allow Judges to issue heavier sentences for crimes like this

I have been a police officer for 29 years and in all that time the punishment given at Court to offenders of serious crimes and persistent offenders is an absolute joke.
