what a sad world we live in when people cant go to a match without being attacked by mindless thugs I agree the sentence should be higher for them all . dobbo the abbey will always be happy to see u still attend games with your family ,united we are united we stand

I don't know which emotion I feel the most, sadness for Simon and his family, or anger at the thugs that got away with this. The laws in this country are a joke, as is the legal system. For goodness sake! Things need to change NOW!

These thugs have taken a life , Simon no longer has the life he had before the attack on him. He himself is prison within his own body , they should be given life for this attack.

Simon has a life sentence, his wife has a life sentence, his daughter has a life sentence. Simon will never ever get better. All of the attackers should have been charged and tried for attempted murder. This was a planned attack and these people didn't care who they attacked. Justice has not been served & the punishment does not reflect the harm they have done.

Please please make this 10 yr sentence. I ask for you to do this so some other poor normal everyday living people DO NOT have to suffer like the amazing Dobson family have to for the rest of their lives!!!!

it should be doubled as the loved ones caring for the person is living a reduced life too,so they have lost not only the person who once was but their own life that would have been .
