Get longer for a drugs offence... ridiculous

Longer than 5 yrs definitely!!!

What kind of society do we live in where a bunch of mindless thugs think it's acceptable to beat a man almost to death because he supports a different team and then receive the most lenient of sentences because the culprits cannot be pinpointed. They are all guilty and should serve a sentence appropriate to the horrific act they commited, we do not need people like this being free in the world.

Punishment needs to reflect the crime. Brain injuries are life long.

Unbelievable that the sentences are so low for this horrendous crime, not sure what this country is coming to

The law must change so other families don't suffer the same way as Simon and his family have. The sentences don't fit the horrific crime commented.

The perpetrators of this wicked and callous attack were guilty of attempted murder. All of them should receive a custodial sentence that is appropriate for this horrific crime.

More of a sentence for this kind of crime 5 years and they continue with there normal life but ones affected have a life sentence

If they'd been charged with a crime such as fraud, or theft they would have received at least double their sentence. It's so wrong.

These people should ashamed and deserve a much longer sentence or the same thing done to them. I am ashamed of the human race sometimes.

An increase is needed for definite

Life for life they should be sent to prison for as long as Simon has to suffer.
