I am curious to why they are trying to remove her prematurely and so quickly. In my opinion, if their weren’t any hidden agendas and the morale of our schools, the students, faculty and staff were priority, then her finishing out the school year wouldn’t be up for discussion. Relationships and friendships between Dr. Hamlett and our students have been formed. We are not aware of the influence she has had on any of our students , therefore uprooting her in the middle of the school year could negatively impact them. The uproar that occurred at the school board meeting has caused enough excitement during this school year, for our students.

Dr, Hamlett is the BEST Superintendent since Ralph Mays.. Please LISTEN to the TOWN and people that have actually met her. She is smart and she cares about the Students, Facility and Humboldt. Prayers going up for the board to be keep her. Letting her go will be a huge mistake.

They are not thinking about students. It’s all about them!

As a former teacher, I support Dr. Hamlett, the teachers and students in Humboldt City School System. Letting Dr. Hamlett go is the biggest Mistake this board has made. Swallow your pride and work for the betterment of our school system.

She is the best person for our schools. Please let her work the vision she has for our school and our children.

Dr. Hamlett has been such an asset to Humboldt City Schools. She was always supportive and present at Stigall. She has worked hard on implementing programs and such to improve the school system. She’s present in the community. She gets in the trenches with the teachers. I’ve recalled seeing her serve up a Lunch or two during the holidays meals at school. Trying to remove a person in the middle of a school year is obviously someone not thinking about the children and the faculty and staff from which some of those board members supposedly care about so much. Think about the stress of that?? They obviously are not. They seem to have no concern of what that will do to all of them. It seems they are more worried about getting their way. This display sure doesn’t make Humboldt seem to appealing to want to put a child in the school system.

And maybe, over the next few months, the Board will recognize Dr. Hamlett's vision for the school's and students and invite her to remain on task to do the work she has started.

Do NOT change in the middle of the school year. It disrupts your students!

Maintaining consistency throughout the school year creates the best climate for the students in all the schools. Dr Hamlett needs to remain

My prayers are that she remain our superintendent. To not keep her is an outrage . And the way this is happening is so sad. My heart breaks to see Humboldt schools be torn apart the way that they are. Dr. Hamlett is one of the best things the schools have going for them.

I support Dr Hamlett and the teachers and students 100%. It is shameful that certain members of the Board refuse to work for the betterment of our schools. I truly don't understand why they are on the board IF they aren't willing to put our children's best interest at heart.

Let’s keep Dr. Hamlett as long as we can.

This is ridiculous! Someone needs to be in charge and it isn't the school board!

I support keeping her on. My child has enough to deal with. The kids and staff should not have to deal with anything else going on. Getting rid of her is a huge mistake.

I was a student at Humboldt High and I agree with keeping her there for the remainder of the year. Thank you.
