Dear fellow students,

as the first draft for our circa 20 pages paper in macroeconomic is getting closer I thought of collecting all your signatures (online) to be more persuasive in convincing the board to reconsider the structure of the macroeconomic course.

Although we might be pioneers (how they called us in the beginning) in this program we care about our results. We should have the possibility to participate in improving the program. That's what pioneers do, they participate actively. If we can give our feedback just after the course is over, it is too late for us.

The main goal here is to get rid of the portfolio assignment. I have three main concerns which lead me to this perspective.

1) The assignment is time-consuming and the data we are ought to collect is not necessarily useful for each one's topic of the paper. Therefore this time could be invested more effectively on the research of the topics of the papers itself.
2) The learning effect of collecting data and putting them into excel sheets is for me not within reach.
3) The incentive of the teachers to let us apply the concepts of the book is sufficiently covered by the weekly tests and an application in a case study in our papers.

I hope you all agree with me and we can achieve a change we can also profit from. I'm looking forward getting all your signatures and I'm happy for every supporter for further tasks.

Warm Regards,
Ben
