We are reaching out to you today on behalf of our English class, and we are seeking your help to make a change that would benefit WNMU students. Recently the residency requirement has changed in the past year from 32 to 60 credit hours. It is a violation of University policy to not adhere to residency requirements unless you meet one of the many exceptions. These changes affected lots of students and have brought questions to us why it was changed. It is beneficial for students to live off campus to build social and financial independence while becoming active WNMU community members. With your help, we can convince the administration to lower the residency requirement from 60 to 30 credit hours.

The volume of support has reached a level where the university administration can no longer ignore our request for a review of the residency policy. I am currently finalizing a formal proposal to lower the credit hour requirement and will be delivering it to the Dean of Students office this week.

THIS. I already have an apartment lined up and now I'm stuck if they don't change this back. Please listen to us!
Ridiculous rule. I need to move off campus for my own sanity and budget. Let us live where we want.

60 credits is way too many. living in the dorms for three years is just another way for the school to take our money when we could be saving up and learning how to handle real life.
