This is a code that shows up on every international student’s paperwork. The current number 04.0201 gives every architecture international student 1 year of interim work permit. However, recently universities such as WUSTL and SCAD have changed their number to 04.0902, which is classified as STEM major, so their architecture international students now enjoy 3 years of interim work permit and could go through the work visa lottery for 3 times. Besides, they will also likely to enjoy much more immigration benefits in the future policy reform which usually favors STEM major students.
