My daughter is in these activities, due to work i won’t be able to attend Thursday. Please change back it’s only 40 percent rain!

It would nice if you all would change it back to its original date. Can’t just change it like that we have people coming from out of town, and most definitely have to think about the children

I wish you would have considered parents when making the decision to reschedule. Alumni have paid for flights and other modes of transportation to attend Friday’s festivities. This does not even take into account that some parents have requested time off work for Friday which means they may or may not be able to attend Homecoming if it’s on Thursday. Further, you’ve not thought about the young ladies and young men who’ve made make-up, hair appointments, and might I add some of these appointments might have required that a deposit had to be paid. Finally, what about the hit that the district is going to take in terms of revenue? Everyone knows that the game with Velma Jackson and Homecoming are our largest game of the season. In other words, these games produce large revenue - not just from ticket sales, concession, but for those classes and individuals who have paid to “tailgate”! Is the district going to refund money to those who can’t attend Thursday? If it’s about great chance of winning over our opponent, who cares? If we played another opponent in which we might suffer a loss, it wouldn’t be our first loss. As a matter of fact, the last time the CHS home game with Neshoba Central that was rescheduled from Friday to Thursday, our guys suffered a loss 56-34. Perhaps, making the change cost us the game. At any rate, you win some and you lose some! Let the children enjoy Homecoming on the date that it’s been scheduled.

It will not be storming on that day. The players, alumni, and student body do not mind participating in Homecoming in the midst of forty percent of rain.
