Thank you for commenting. Your son shouldn’t have to feel that way. I hope my efforts will have some impact.

My son who is a Jr continuously calls himself stupid or slow because he cannot keep up or get the help to understand his math class. So this is a big problem especially when I'm told hr cannot turn in any late work and since there was a sub before the shelter in place he got no help with his work!

There shouldn’t be any homework outside of school the fact that school takes 1/3 of a whole day and students have life outside of school. Regardless school there are many students who attend other after school activities that also takes time of their day. They can invest their time in much more productive ways than doing homework from school.

I definitely agree, our mental health matters! Our teachers and staff board should take the time to acknowledge it

I’m signing this for Asher, who died by suicide in 2012 at the age of just 17. Today his classmates are teachers, mothers, fathers, scientists, musicians, and scholars. Asher wanted to be a pilot and even eight years later each time I fly I think about him

with the lack of sympathy but an increase in work leads students to a stressful and overloaded life. we as students should have self-control over our lives and regulate our emotions to achieve things we want. how can we grow to become better people if the system in our education is highly flawed!

My sophomore year of high school we had a student commit suicide in September, that’s a month after school started. I myself have been suicidal before and told my teachers, asking if they could make some simple accommodations for my mental health. They wouldn’t even do something as simple as that. I’m very passionate about the mental health about students. I feel your pain.

Agreed. The majority of school staff is also unaware as to what goes on in a students life and should be understanding of the struggles that some of us have to face on top of heavy workloads.

I agree our mental health as students should be more focused on. And that can be when we’re constantly being overwhelmed with world from teachers.
